1. Acceptance of Terms By downloading, accessing, or using the JOM application ("the App") and the www.jomnow.com website ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

2. User Accounts

• Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.

• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  

3. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Video Sharing JOM is a platform built for sharing cinematic, creative, and engaging video content.

• Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the videos and content you upload.

• License Granted to JOM: By posting content, you grant JOM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and transferable license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify your content for the purposes of operating and promoting the platform.

• Content Moderation: We reserve the right to review, flag, or remove any content at our sole discretion without prior notice.
  

4. Prohibited Conduct To keep the JOM community safe and enjoyable, you agree not to post videos or content that:

• Promotes violence, hate speech, harassment, or self-harm.

• Contains sexually explicit material or nudity.

• Infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property of others (e.g., using unlicensed background music).

• Contains spam, misleading metadata, or malicious links.
  

5. Copyright Violations We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyright-protected work was posted on JOM without authorization, you may submit a takedown request through our in-app reporting tools or via our support email. Repeat infringers will have their accounts permanently terminated.

6. Termination We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to a violation of these Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

Privacy Policy

www.jomnow.com and the JOM mobile application are owned and operated by JOMNow, which acts as the data controller of your personal data. We have adopted this Privacy Policy to explain how we process information collected by our platforms and the reasons we must collect certain personal data about you.

1. Information We Collect To provide the JOM video-sharing experience, we collect the following data:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect personal data such as your Name, username, email address, profile picture, bio, and password.

• User-Generated Content: Videos, audio recordings, comments, and messages you upload or send through the App.

• Device Permissions: With your explicit consent, we access your device’s Camera, Microphone, and Photo/Video Library to allow you to create, upload, and save content.

• Automatically Collected Data (Device & Usage): When you visit the Site or use the App, we automatically collect information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and installed cookies. We also collect analytics regarding how you interact with the platform, including videos watched, accounts followed, likes, shares, and search terms.
  

2. How We Use Your Information Our top priority is customer data security, and we process only the data absolutely necessary to maintain and enhance the platform. We use your information to:

• Operate, maintain, and deliver the video-sharing features of JOM.

• Personalize your content feed and recommend videos or creators you might like.

• Identify potential cases of abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and maintain community safety.

• Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and promotional content.
  

3. How We Share Your Information

• Public Information: Your profile, uploaded videos, and comments are visible to other users on the platform based on your privacy settings.

• Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted third-party vendors (such as AWS for video hosting, databases, and cloud storage) who assist us in operating the platform securely.

• Legal Disclosure: We will disclose any information we collect, use, or receive if required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  

4. Data Security We secure the information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encrypted passwords and secure AWS infrastructure). However, please be aware that no data transmission over the Internet or wireless network can be 100% guaranteed.

5. Third-Party Links Our platform may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by us. Please be aware that we are not responsible for such other websites or third parties' privacy practices. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our platform and read the privacy statements of each website that may collect personal information.

6. Your Data Rights (PDPA & Global Compliance) In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 of Malaysia, and aligning with global privacy standards (such as European GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Access and Correction: You have the right to access and update your personal data through your account settings.

• Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You may delete your account and associated videos at any time. We will remove your content from our active servers, though residual copies may remain in secure backups for a limited legal compliance period.

• Withdrawal of Consent: You can revoke camera and microphone permissions via your device settings at any time, though this will limit your ability to create content on JOM.

• Additional Rights: Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to automated decision-making.
  

Please note that your information may be transferred and processed on secure servers located outside of your resident country, including the United States.
